13 office and ContactCenter buildings, including Telefónica Germany's head office, the O2-Tower, which is the tallest office building in Munich at 37 floors. The agreed scope of performance includes technical servicing and maintenance for all technical systems and ensuring their smooth operation, as well as all infrastructural services, caretaker services and conference management. Optional services such as relocation and energy management have also been agreed.
A corresponding contract with a term of at least three years has been concluded. This was preceded by a Germany-wide call for bids. The parties have agreed not to disclose the volume of the contract.
STRABAG PFS has already been exclusively managing all 1,200 of the technical facilities and operating sites in Telefónica's fixed-line network since the start of 2016. "With this follow-up order from Telefónica, we are further extending STRABAG PFS's market leadership as a multi-service provider for major telecommunications companies," commented Dirk Brandt, Managing Director responsible for Technical Facility Management at STRABAG PFS.
As well as serving telecommunications companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Colt and Media Broadcast, STRABAG PFS manages the radio equipment and locations of several German regional and federal agencies including the German Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS) and the German air-traffic control body DFS.
