The state government of Rhineland-Palatinate, represented by the Landesbetrieb Liegenschafts- und Baubetreuung (LBB), has commissioned STRABAG Property and Facility Services GmbH (STRABAG PFS) with the technical building management for the State Chancellery in Mainz. Following a Europe-wide tender, a corresponding contract was signed with effect from May 1, 2021 for an initial period of five years with an option to extend. Implementation began on March 1, 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the order volume.
The agreed services include the maintenance, inspection and repair of all technical building systems and facilities as part of the operator responsibility as well as a 24/7 on-call service for fault clearance. STRABAG PFS provides the services with its own personnel on site.
The Mainz State Chancellery is the seat of government of the Rhineland-Palatinate state government and consists of two buildings with a net floor area of around 8,400 m². The 18th century buildings are listed buildings; they were completely renovated in 2009 and equipped with new building technology.
"We are delighted to have been awarded the contract, which also places high quality demands on the technical operation of the systems due to the high security standards," says Andrea Jager, Managing Director at STRABAG PFS.
