Today, owners and portfolio managers use CAFM systems as a central basis for the technical operation of their properties. However, despite these digital tools, operators still face an unresolved problem: the underlying building data is often incomplete, inconsistent and not up-to-date. This not only slows down operational processes, but also makes strategic decisions in technical building operation more difficult and is economically inefficient.
Data quality determines efficiency
Building data is more than just data records - it is the basis for maintenance, servicing and operation. Efficient work can only be carried out if it is clear where technical installations are located, what their characteristics are and what their maintenance history looks like. In practice, however, you often come across heterogeneous data from a wide variety of sources and processes that can hardly be standardized.
This is precisely where the change in perspective comes in: The goal is not standardization, but data transparency and usability - regardless of the system of origin or individual work processes.
Instead of trying to force a universal data format for all customers, the aim is to use the existing data stock for optimized and efficient building operation. This means validating existing information, adding missing features and preparing data in such a way that technical facility management can use it without manual rework
How STRABAG PFS uses AI to create data transparency
This is precisely where STRABAG PFS supports its customers: with pragmatic and technology-based data management and its Digital Service Platform, which do not replace existing structures, but make them usable. A central component of this is the AI-supported EVI* (Empty Value Imputation) software developed in-house. EVI analyses the transferred data, identifies missing asset features and automatically supplements them using existing information on technical assets that has been collected over many years.
The benefits quickly become apparent in everyday life: teams are relieved of time-consuming data collection, CAFM implementations are accelerated and upcoming service and maintenance processes are derived directly.
Data transparency is therefore not a nice-to-have - STRABAG PFS makes it the basis for economical and sustainable building operation.
