STRABAG PFS launches a new training programme in Bebra

STRABAG PFS is making targeted investments in the training and development of future skilled workers. From September 2026, a new chapter in training will begin for apprentices in the professions of Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Services and Mechatronics Technician for Refrigeration Technology: it will kick off with a joint three-week onboarding programme at the Group’s training workshop in Bebra. 

With this programme, STRABAG PFS aims to provide young people with a structured start to their working lives and to foster both technical and personal skills right from the outset.

During a three-week onboarding programme in Bebra, trainees get to know STRABAG PFS, the corporate culture and the basics of their future role. Alongside the initial technical content, the programme also covers topics such as health, prevention, sustainability and successful collaboration. 

Participants gain their first practical experience, build up basic technical knowledge and forge contacts across different sites and job roles. This early networking fosters a strong sense of community and often stays with many trainees throughout their entire training period.

The STRABAG Group Training Centre in Bebra offers the ideal conditions for modern, practice-oriented training. For many years, the site – which features its own machinery, a boarding school and modern training workshops – has been equipping young people for their future careers within the STRABAG Group. 

For apprentices training as electronics technicians specialising in energy and building services, the collaboration with the Group Training Centre is set to be further expanded in future. Additional practical training phases are planned at the Bebra site. In future, further practical phases of the training programme are to take place there. The long-term plan is to extend the concept to other apprenticeship programmes as well.

With its new training programme, STRABAG PFS is strengthening its commitment to nurturing young talent in the long term and creating attractive conditions for those starting their careers. The combination of practical learning, personal development and cross-site exchange lays the foundations for successful training and the long-term development of skilled staff.
