STRABAG PFS expands cooperation with Building and Real Estate Management North Rhine-Westphalia

The contract includes Technical Facility Management for the correctional facilities in Bochum and the Mont Cenis training academy in Herne.

STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) has received a new contract for Technical Facility Management services from Building and Real Estate Management North Rhine-Westphalia (BLB NRW). The contract covers two properties: the correctional facility (JVA) in Bochum and the Mont Cenis training academy of the Ministry of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia in Herne.

This contract continues the successful partnership between STRABAG PFS and BLB NRW. Particularly pleasing: The Dortmund branch of BLB NRW has commissioned STRABAG PFS for the first time - an important step towards expanding the existing portfolio, which already includes properties in Münster, Duisburg and Cologne.

The properties in detail:
Bochum correctional facilities: The services to be provided comprise 14 business units with an area of around 60,000 m², including prison buildings, administrative areas, the gate and multi-purpose buildings. Parts of the prison are listed as historical monuments.
Mont Cenis: The training academy covers an area of around 10,600 m²; the academy building is a unique ensemble of event and seminar rooms. It is the interplay of light and shadow, wood and glass.

With the Bochum Prison, STRABAG PFS is expanding its reference in the sensitive area of correctional facilities management - in addition to the Willich Prison, another complex project with special security and operational requirements. The portfolio is also being further strengthened in the field of training and further education facilities: in addition to Mont Cenis, the properties managed already include the NRW State Office for Police Training, Further Training and Personnel Matters (LAFP NRW) in Münster.

STRABAG PFS convinced with its offer and achieved the best ratingin the award procedure. STRABAG PFS thus once again underlines its position as a reliable partner for public sector clients and as a specialist for sophisticated FM services in the public sector.
