Frankfurt, 8.6.2026
STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) will take over Technical Facility Management for the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) in Berlin for another five years. The contract was preceded by a public tender, in which the business solutions provider was able to successfully assert itself. The client is the Institute for Federal Real Estate (BImA). STRABAG PFS will thus continue to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of major federal properties.
The range of services includes the operation and maintenance of all technical building systems as well as a 24-hour fault service to ensure operational and supply reliability. Technical support and coordination of the regular events are also part of the scope of services.
The managed properties with an area of 134,300 square metres include the Detlev-Rohwedder-house in Berlin’s Wilhelmstraße, which is used by the Federal Council in parts of the Federal Ministry of Finance in addition to the Federal Ministry of Finance, as well as the so-called Postblock in Mauerstraße (former Reichspost Office). Both building complexes are listed and consist of several components. The company thus places high demands on technical expertise, coordination and ensuring operational and supply security.
With this renewed commission, STRABAG PFS underlines its position as a high-performance partner to the public sector.
STRABAG PFS has been providing facility services for several federal ministries on behalf of the BImA for more than ten years, including the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV), the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (BMLEH).
