STRABAG PFS takes over technical facility management for two DLR high-tech locations

Frankfurt, 16 April 2026
STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) has been awarded the contract for technical facility management at the Oberpfaffenhofen and Augsburg locations of the German Aerospace Centre, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR). STRABAG PFS has been managing complex facilities for bank and insurance companies as well as data centres for many years. Its core competencies include safe operation, availability, precise maintenance and the prevention of faults in technical systems.

Technical services for high-tech locations
The new contract covers comprehensive technical services at both DLR locations. STRABAG PFS has responsibility for the trouble-free operation of the complex facilities, relying on modern, digitally supported maintenance and control technology. The eco2state service line provides an integrated end-to-end solution that takes into account an energy audit of the buildings, data-driven AI solutions during ongoing building operations, and the development and implementation of structural optimisations to building services. The DLR location in Oberpfaffenhofen is one of the largest research centres in Germany – with a focus on areas including aviation, space travel, robotics, Earth observation, digitalisation and security. In this sensitive environment, precisely monitored and fail-safe plant operation is crucial.

With this contract award, STRABAG PFS consolidates its role as a technical facility management service provider for sophisticated and safety-critical infrastructure.
