The use of buildings generates 75% of the greenhouse gas emissions that a building produces over its entire service life. The remaining CO2 emissions are tied up in the building materials used in the form of grey energy.
As a general contractor for decarbonization, with eco2state we focus on climate-neutral, sustainable and digital building operation as the most effective lever for the long-term value retention and marketability of a property.

The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions

eco2state is based on a careful analysis of the existing building stock. This involves assessing both the current state and the energy requirements of the building fabric. The evaluation of a wide range of information sources is closely linked to this. Depending on the condition and energy requirements of the building and its technical systems, we define an individual decarbonization pathway with suitable services and products.

The eco2state navigator - our all-rounder

This is made possible by a digital copy of the building with all available technical data, a so-called "digital twin". The eco2state navigator is our core tool for analysing and optimizing your properties. It is fed with data from the building management system (BMS), sensors and manual data.

In the eco2state navigator, building data such as humidity, temperature and air quality as well as external factors such as time of day and weather conditions are recorded and analyzed in real time. Our three modules CO2, AI and ENERGY allow us to navigate through all the information.

The evaluation of all the data therefore makes the building speak in the best sense of the word. This dialog with humidity, temperature, air, light and shade, for example, enables us to fine-tune the conditions in the office in detail, as well as in industrial facilities. The time of day and weather conditions are also taken into account. The interfaces are the powerful hubs of our BMS and the eco2state navigator.

Optimizing and producing wellbeing with sensor technology

Specifically, a meeting room knows, for example, how many people are in the room, it knows the room climate, controls the shading and lighting and the availability of technology and equipment. Assuming that this applies to every room in the building, it is obvious that high cost savings are possible. Demand-based regulation and control result in a perfect triad: a feel-good atmosphere in the room, comprehensive optimization of the use of resources and a significant reduction in CO2.

Analysis and control require information. We have developed our own sensors for this purpose. These are easy to implement, suitable for the system and always hard-working. We use a total of 25 sensors, which are assigned to the five main categories of environment, resources, utilization, condition and location.

Future-proof existing buildings

eco2state is not only possible for buildings that are already comprehensively digitalized, but also offers a real prospect for increasing efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions for existing buildings without building automation and control technology.
